Applied Econometric

Analysis: Emerging Research and Opportunities is
an interdisciplinary book using applied econometric methods to look at
interesting research questions. 

Are there any technologies/innovation/new areas of discovery that are noteworthy or how is your publication different than others within your field? 

It differs from other publications in that there are unique econometric approaches taken in this book, e.g., in chapter 1 relationship between economic activity and crude oil prices using causality tests in the frequency domain and taking into account the difference between positive and negative changes in both oil prices and economic activity as the relationship can be asymmetric.  Chapter 10 measures of entrepreneurship, such as average establishment size and the prevalence of start-ups, correlate strongly with employment growth within rural areas using generalized linear models (GLM).
